Answer these questions:
Will you go to Heaven when you die?
What do you think it takes to get there?
- God wants you to go to heaven.
No matter what you've done, who you've
done it with or how many times you've done
it, God wants you to go to heaven.
He even said it's not hard to get there.
He even says it's a gift.
(Romans 6:23 - the gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord.)
He also said He's preparing it for you.
(John 14:2 - I am going there to prepare a place
for you)
- We've got a problem.
We need help.
We cannot save our selves.
(Ephesians 2:9 - "not by works so that no one
can boast.")
We've sinned (done things we shouldn't).
(Romans 3:23 - "All have sinned and fall short
of what God really wants us to be.")
We actually deserve the worst.
(Romans 6:23 - "the wages of sin is death.")
- God takes care of our problem!
problem.
He does it through His Son Jesus.
Jesus died on the cross to take care of our
problem.
(1 Peter 3:18 - "For Christ died for sins once for
all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring
you to God.")
Jesus can do that because He is God and
became a man.
(John 1:1, 14 - "1. In the beginning was the
Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God. 14. The Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us.")
Jesus not only died but he raised Himself
from the dead (no kidding!)
(Romans 4:25 - "He was handed over to die
because of our sins, and he was raised to life
to make us right with God.")
- You need to make a decision.
We can know all about God wanting us to go
to heaven, our problem of not being able to
get there on our own and God taking care of
our problem but...,
IF WE DO NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT,
IT WILL NOT BE DONE!
"What do I do?"
You need to place your faith in Jesus -
Believe He can take you to Heaven.
(Ephesians 2:8 - "For it is by grace you have
been saved, through faith--and this not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God.")
Faith is not just believing facts about Jesus.
(James 2:19 - You believe that there is one
God. Good! Even the demons believe that--
and shudder.")
Faith is putting our total trust in Jesus to get
us to Heaven.
(Like boarding an Airplane - you're trusting the
pilot to get you to your destination.)
So is that all?
Well, you need to at least tell Him.
Pray this prayer:
Jesus, I know that you want me to go to
heaven and I want to go there. Thank you for
dying on the cross to pay the penalty for my
sins and thank you for being raised from the
dead so that I can have eternal life.
I'm trusting you to get me to heaven and I
receive you're free gift of eternal life.
You are my Savior and my Lord.
Thank you Jesus!
